What areas do you serve?

WillCo Electric serves Ocala, Belleview, Dunnellon, Summerfield, The Villages, Silver Springs, and the surrounding Marion County and Central Florida area. If you're not sure whether we cover your neighborhood, just call — we probably do.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. WillCo Electric Inc. is a licensed Florida electrical contractor and we carry the insurance coverage you should expect from a professional contractor. We're happy to provide license and insurance information on request.

Do you handle permits?

Yes. For work that requires a permit — service upgrades, new circuits, EV chargers, generator installs, and similar — we pull the permit, coordinate the inspection, and make sure your project is documented properly with the Marion County Building Department or the applicable jurisdiction.

Services

Do you offer residential electrical services?

Yes. WillCo Electric handles the full range of residential work — outlets, switches, dedicated circuits, ceiling fans, lighting, panel upgrades, EV chargers, generator wiring, whole-home surge protection, rewires, and troubleshooting for homes across Ocala and Marion County.

Do you offer commercial electrical services?

Yes. We work with property owners, business owners, and general contractors on tenant fit-outs, service upgrades, dedicated equipment circuits, lighting retrofits, and code-compliance upgrades. We coordinate directly with permitting and the utility so your project stays on schedule.

Can you upgrade electrical panels?

Absolutely. Panel upgrades and replacements are a core part of what we do — including 100A-to-200A service upgrades, replacing outdated Federal Pacific or Zinsco panels, adding whole-home surge protection, and installing sub-panels for additions, garages, and outbuildings.

Do you install EV chargers?

Yes. We install Level 2 EV chargers, size the dedicated circuit correctly for your vehicle and panel, perform a load calculation, and pull the appropriate permits. If your panel needs to be upgraded first, we can do that in the same project.

Can you replace outdated wiring?

Yes. Whether it's aluminum branch wiring, cloth-insulated conductors, knob-and-tube remnants, or ungrounded two-prong receptacles, we can plan and execute partial or whole-home rewires that bring your property up to current NEC standards.

Do you install generators or transfer switches?

Yes. We install whole-home standby generator wiring, automatic transfer switches, manual transfer switches, and portable-generator inlet boxes. Every install is load-calculated, permitted, and coordinated with the utility.

What brands do you install (EV chargers, panels, generators)?

We work with the major, reputable brands homeowners request — Tesla, ChargePoint, and Wallbox for EV chargers; Square D, Eaton, Siemens, and Leviton for panels and breakers; and Generac, Kohler, Cummins, and Champion for generators. If you have a specific brand in mind, we'll help you evaluate the right fit for your home.

How quickly can an electrician come out?

We prioritize local calls in Ocala and Marion County and do our best to offer same-day or next-day windows depending on our current schedule and the nature of the request. Emergency and no-power situations get routed to the front of the line — call (352) 291-0909 and we'll give you a real window.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept the common forms of payment homeowners and businesses expect. Give the office a call and we'll confirm current options at the time of scheduling.

Will you clean up after the work?

Always. We leave every jobsite the way we'd want ours left — swept up, boxes broken down, and drop cloths pulled. Cleanliness is part of the job, not an extra.

Safety

Do you offer emergency service?

For no-power, sparking, burning-smell, or other unsafe conditions, call us right away at (352) 291-0909. We'll route your call appropriately and get an electrician to you as quickly as our schedule allows. If you smell smoke or see fire, call 911 first and shut off the main breaker if it is safe to do so.

My breaker keeps tripping — what should I do?

A breaker that trips repeatedly is doing its job — it's protecting the circuit from something that shouldn't be happening. Unplug what was running when it tripped and try to reset it once. If it trips again immediately, leave it off and call us. We'll diagnose the load, connection, or fault causing the trip.

How do I know if my panel is unsafe?

Warm breakers or panel covers, discoloration or a burning smell near the panel, buzzing or crackling sounds, and known-problem panels like Federal Pacific Stab-Lok or Zinsco are all reasons to have your panel evaluated. Call us and we'll take a look.
